Douglas Ramaphosa joins the board of Curro Holdings

Curro Holdings said Douglas Ramaphosa has been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the board of Curro with effect from 26 January 2018.

The company said in a statement that Mr. Douglas Ramaphosa offers a wealth of experience, having served on the boards of numerous companies, as well as holding various senior executive positions in the private sector.

Ramaphosa is a non-executive Director of EnviroServ, a waste management company as well as of the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA). He is also the Chairman and Director of Satori Tech Hub. Mr Ramaphosa has 25 years’ business experience on boards and board committees and inter alia served as Group Executive of Corporate Affairs at Altron, CEO of Bytes Healthcare Solutions and served as the Managing Director of Bytes Specialised Solutions and the Bytes Technology Group (SA). Furthermore, Mr Ramaphosa worked at senior executive level for a number of large organisations, including Transnet, ABSA and Anglo American. He served on the boards of Eskom Enterprises for five years and was Director and Chairman of Rotek Industries.

Mr Ramaphosa holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences, obtained from the Rostov State University, and he completed the Programme for Executive Development at the Institute of Management Development, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Board welcomes Mr Ramaphosa in his new role and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
