
The suspended chief financial officer at Eskom, Anoj Singh has tendered his resignation to the company.
Eskom is South Africa’s state-owned power company that has been riddled with allegations of corruption and mismanagement that has thrown the company into power cuts and incessant blackouts in recent years.
Eskom confirmed in a statement that the resignation of Anoj Singh will take immediate effect.
Anoj Singh was accused of favouring certain companies in supply contracts to supply coal to Eskom’s power plants. He had denied any wrongdoing but was suspended last year at the height of the revelations.
