The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and soft drink giants Coca-Cola have agreed a partnership deal which see the company becomes an official partners of all the Super Eagles and other Nigerian national team.
The federation made the announcement at the official signing ceremony held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The bottling company are making a comeback into Nigerian national team sponsorship after a 10-year break and have decided to join forces with the NFF at a time when the world cup is few months away.
Present at the ceremony were NFF President Amaju Pinnick, NFF Vice President and Chairman, League Management Company (LMC) Mallam Shehu Dikko, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and top officials of Coca-Cola.
Also present at the ceremony were Super Falcons stars Asisat Oshoala, who was recently crowned 2017 Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year, and Onome Ebi.
The latest signing ceremony means Coca-Cola have now joined a growing list of sponsors to have gone into partnership with the NFF, including PayPorte, the online shopping outlet.
At the event, the NFF also disclosed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play five friendly matches ahead of their participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Eagles will play Poland on March 23 in Poland, travel to London to play Serbia on March 27, and later play DR Congo in Abuja billed for May 25.
Also, the much publicized friendly against the Three Lions of England will come up on June 2nd at the Wembley stadium before the team departs to Austria to tackle Czech Republic on June 6th 2018.
