Former EY executive Vickie Capps Joins OmniGuide’s Board

OmniGuide said that Vickie Capps, an experienced financial professional in the life sciences industry, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

The company, a patient-safety focused advanced surgical energy tools confirmed the appointment in a statement which stated that the ex-Ernst & Young senior Audit staff has been drafted in.

“Vickie is a leader in the financial industry and we are excited to welcome her to OmniGuide’s board of directors,” said John T. Buhler, OmniGuide’s CEO. “We believe her strong experience, especially in M&A and building sustainable growth models for med-tech companies, will be invaluable as OmniGuide continues to focus on product innovation and market development.”

Mrs. Capps has more than 20 years of experience as a Chief Financial Offer and audit professional in the healthcare industry, having recently served an 11-year tenure as Executive Vice president, CFO, and Treasurer for DJO Global Inc., a global provider of medical devices. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years with Ernst & Young as a Senior Audit & Accounting professional.

Mrs. Capps currently serves on the Senior Advisory Board of Consonance Capital Partners, a healthcare focused private equity firm, and the Board of Directors of its portfolio company, Enclara Pharmacia, a provider of pharmacy services to the hospice industry. She also serves on the Boards of Directors of several publicly traded life sciences companies, including: NuVasive, Inc., Otonomy, Inc., Connecture, Inc. In addition, Mrs. Capps previously served on the Boards of the publicly traded medical device company SenoRx until its acquisition by C. R. Bard, Inc. and private medical device company, RF Surgical Systems until its acquisition by Medtronic. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego State University Research Foundation.

Mrs. Vickie Capps received her BA degree in Business Administration/Accounting from San Diego State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
