Nexon Korea to acquire Pixelberry Studios

NEXON announced that its consolidated subsidiary, NEXON Korea Corporation, through its subsidiary Nexon US Holding Inc., has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Pixelberry Studios, a developer in interactive narrative mobiles games.

Pixelberry Studios is an independent studio founded in 2012 and made up of veteran developers who created the first story games for mobile 12 years ago. The studio has paved the way for the interactive storytelling genre on mobile devices with their top grossing apps Choices: Stories You Play and High School Story.

Nexon and Pixelberry will power up the production of new genres and new weekly content for players to enjoy for years on end. In addition, Nexon will support Pixelberry’s global expansion and localization of Choices, bringing the groundbreaking interactive fiction app to key markets in Asia.
