Raytheon appoints Christopher Davis as president of its International arm

Defence manufacturer, Raytheon said it has appointed Christopher Davis as president, Raytheon International Inc. effective immediately.

Christopher Davis will report to John Harris, vice president, Business Development and CEO, RII, and be based in Washington, D.C.

“Chris has a proven track record in international business and business creation that makes him the ideal candidate to strategically drive our top global initiatives,” said Harris. “He will lead the worldwide RII team to grow international sales.”

Christopher Davis replaces Thomas A. Vecchiolla, who recently retired after 15 years with the company.

Davis has spent much of his industry and military careers abroad with three years in Japan and more than 15 years in the United Arab Emirates. He served as country leader and president, RII in the UAE since July 2014. In January 2006, he joined the Raytheon Missile Systems business development team to grow their international portfolio in the Middle East North Africa region.

Davis is a retired Marine aviator, and before joining Raytheon, he had senior assignments working with the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce.

He has a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering from Union College and a master’s degree in security studies from the Marine Corps University.
