Katherine McDermott, CFO at Lrad Corp to step down

Katherine McDermott (H.), the current CFO of Lrad Corp will be stepping down, a statement released by the company confirmed her resignation.

Ms. Katherine McDermott, also known as Kathy, has been Chief Financial Officer at LRAD Corporation (formerly American Technology Corp.) since September 11, 2007 and its Chief Accounting Officer since June 28, 2007 and served as its Controller since June 28, 2007.

Ms. Katherine McDermott has been Secretary of LRAD Corporation since February 2008. She is a financial executive with both Fortune 500 experience as well as supporting smaller, dynamic businesses through profitability improvement, public offerings, acquisitions, establishing international business operations and other strategic initiatives.

Her most recent positions included Corporate Audit Manager, Plant Controller and Controller of a wholly owned subsidiary. Ms. McDermott served as Vice President of Finance of Lantronix, Inc., from March 2001 to 2005 and served as its Secretary since August 2004. She joined Lantronix Inc. as Corporate Controller in March 2000. She served as the Chief Financial Officer of National Pen from 2005 to 2006.

From 1988 to 1999, she served in a number of senior level finance positions with Bausch & Lomb, Inc. From 1982 to 1988, she held various financial positions at a Division of General Motors.

Ms. McDermott holds a BBA degree in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University in New York, where she graduated cum laude. She also earned an MBA degree in Finance and Economics, from the William E Simon School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester
