Germany’s DZ Bank picks Uwe Froehlich, Cornelius Riese as CEOs


Germany’s DZ Bank said it has appointed Uwe Froehlich, and Cornelius Riese as co-chief executives to take over from January 2019.

DZ Bank is Germany’s second-largest bank in terms of assets.

The bank disclosed that Uwe Froehlich, currently president of the National Association of German Cooperative Banks, and Cornelius Riese, DZ Bank chief financial officer, will assume the helm from CEO Wolfgang Kirsch.
