Everton has completed the signing of Henry Onyekuru from KAS Eupen. The Nigerian forward will be with the club for a five-year period.
The club disclosed that Henry Onyekuru will be loaned to Anderlecht next season, a pointer to the fact that he might not play in the premier league in his first year at Everton.
Henry Onyekuru was the highest goals scorer in the Belgium league after he scored 22 goals in 38 games for KAS Eupen.
The rise of Henry Onyekuru to stardom was not without its pains. In 2016, he told PageOne.ng in anexlusive interview that:
“There is nothing much to say about that other than the keyword, hard work and prayer. You need to put God first, work hard and some day your moment will arrive. Back then when I was at home, I remember I also used to ask the question, when will I make it as a footballer but I have now realized that you will only keep depressing yourself with such questions and it will kill you inside. Just keep doing what you know how to do”.
He was trained for his career at the Aspire Academy before he joined KAS Eupen.
