How Feet ‘n’ Tricks wants to reward freestyle footballers

Perhaps you have come across freestyle footballers whose feets dont lie. Feet ‘n’ Tricks International is rewarding their passion and flair with a whooping NGN1 million just for showcasing abundance of skills.

The organisation had announced that the first edition of the Nigeria National Freestyle Championships is scheduled for July 22, in Lagos and, the winner will represent the country at the Super Ball Prague in August this year.

Chairman of the organisation, Valentine Ozigbo, confirmed during a press conference where Feet ‘n’ Tricks signed an exclusivity agreement with the World Federation of Freestyle Football to organise freestyle competitions in the country.

According to him, the motive behind bringing such a competition to Nigeria was to make the country the home of freestyle football in the world.

“Feet ‘n’ Tricks is set to develop and nurture an art, a lifestyle, a passion for many, and also a means to a lucrative career,” Ozigbo said.

“We have so many people out there who are talented in freestyle football and have been doing it on the street for fun, but now they have the opportunity to participate in a competition where they will be rewarded financially.

“The target is to organise a world class event full of credibility and sustainable future. This year’s edition is to test run and then move to the grassroots next year before extending it to other part of West Africa.”

Ex-international, Kanu Nwankwo, who is one of the partners said: “Football starts from the street and if you cannot make it into real football, the trick is another opportunity to make it through football.”

The winner will not only go home with the prize money, but also with a new GAC Salon car worth NGN7 million.

Feet ‘n’ Tricks International is a Sports and Entertainment Company created by a team of partners, including one of Africa’s most decorated footballer, Kanu Nwankwo. They came together to create a new platform for sports and entertainment to give the football fans a chance to partake in and take away from their most beloved sport. Other members of the dynamic team include Valentine Ozigbo Chairman of board, Olisa Adibua, Dom Lawson, Godwin Nwanagu and O’dyke Nzewi the CEO.
