34 firms bid for NNPC digitization project

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said it received no fewer than 34 bids submitted by different companies for the digitization of legacy documents in the corporate headquarters.  

The bid opening exercise was conducted in the full glare of representatives of the bidding companies and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.

Group General Manager, Information and Technology Division (ITD), Mr. Danladi Inuwa, represented by General Manager Applications, Mr. Kunle Osobu, said the exercise was geared towards having electronic copies of all NNPC documents in line with global best practices.

“I am happy that there is much show of interest in this process. The process is going to be transparent from the beginning to the end and we want the best yield in terms of value addition and best services and this was why the bid tender was extended to twelve (12) weeks,” Mr. Osobu said.

On her part, the General Manager, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Mrs. Sophia Mbakwe, said NNPC, through the bid exercise, seeks to engage the services of reputable organizations that would digitize the legacy documents of the Corporation, assuring that the process would be transparent.

The public opening of bid is part of the Corporation’s avowed commitment to transparency in its bid to reposition as a Focused, Accountable, Competitive and a Transparent organisation conducting its business with Integrity (FACTI).
