Samsung opens Russian dedicated newsroom

Samsung Electronic, the parent company of Samsung mobile might be stepping up its media awareness in Russia with the launch of an online newsroom dedicated to the country.

A statement issued by Samsung media team said the new Russian-language news and information hub that will provide contents targeting local media and consumers. It is an official Samsung Russian-language information portal with a convenient search tool.

The newsroom will keep media and consumers up-to-date with the latest company news and cover other interesting topics including the company’s latest activities in the country, complemented by video and photo content as well.

Based on its record, the Samsung Newsroom Russia marks Samsung’s eighth newsroom, adding to the Global, United States, Korea, Vietnam, Brazil, India and Germany editions. Samsung said it plans to continue rolling out additional local newsrooms this year to share its latest news with more regions in their own language.

There is no newsroom dedicated for each African country, for example, Nigeria where Samsung is the among the top three mobile and electronic market shareholders.
