Sanlam said it has further acquired another 16.6% stake in SAHAM Finances.
The company said in a message to its shareholders that the new stake was via a subscription for new shares by Sanlam Emerging Markets Ireland Ltd., the wholly- owned subsidiary of SAN JV (RF) (Pty) Ltd., a special purpose vehicle held jointly by SanlamÆs wholly-owned subsidiary, Sanlam Emerging Markets (Pty) Ltd., and Santam
Salam told its shareholders that all of the conditions precedent relating to the Transaction have now been fulfilled and the closing process complete.
Sanlam is also in partnership with FBN Insurance in Nigeria.
