Edward Ayensu is Chairman of Africa Practice Ghana. He has extensive experience in scientific research and communications, as well as in socio-economic development.
He is Chairman of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), President of the Pan-African Union for Science and Technology, Chairman of Edward S. Ayensu Associates, Ltd and founding Chairman of the African Biosciences Network.
He was the former Secretary-General of the International Union of Biological Sciences, Chairman of the Ghana National Biodiversity Committee, Member of the International Advisory Board on Global Scientific Communications, UNESCO, and a member of the Board of Directors and International Vice Chairman of the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
He was also Chairman of the World Bank Investigations Unit for five years from 2002. He has served as senior advisor to the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and as the Bank’s Director for Central Projects.
