He is the Director of Strategy and Engagement at Africa Practice. He has lived in Nigeria, England, South Africa and Bahrain. With a range of skills and experiences spanning the full spectrum of communication and marketing disciplines, Hameed advises companies operating in environments requiring a robust approach to multi-stakeholder relationship management.
His focus areas are positioning & communication strategy, market entry, crisis communication, post-M&A integration, employee engagement and organisation development. He has worked with several notable brands including Dangote Group, UBA Group, Neotel (South Africa), Eskom (South Africa), FNB (South Africa), General Electric, Oando Group and the Bahrain International Circuit (Bahrain).
Abdulhameed Abubakar is also passionate about the Arts, most especially film and has successfully raised capital and provided advisory services for a handful of notable Pan-African and international initiatives including the Africa Film Academy, The Lagos Jazz Series and Half of a Yellow Sun (movie).
