John Hofmeister and others leave Erin Corporation

Erin Corporation said its Chairman John Hofmeister, the chairman of the company as well as William J. Campbell and Ira Wayne McConnell have informed the company that they will not stand for re-election and will be retiring from service as members of the Board.

Erin Corporation said their exit came into effect as of the date of the Company’s 2017 annual stockholders’ meeting.

The company clarified that “Their decisions to retire from service as members of the Board did not involve any disagreement with the Company, the Company’s “management or the Board.

Mr. John Daniel Hofmeister founded Citizens for Affordable Energy Inc. in 2008 and serves as its Head and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hofmeister served as the President of Shell Oil Company from March 1, 2005 to June 1, 2008 and served as its U.S. Country Chairman. Mr. Hofmeister served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs & Human Resources of Shell Oil Company.

A business leader who has participated in the inner workings of multiple industries for over 36 years, he also has held key leadership positions in General Electric, Nortel and AlliedSignal (now Honeywell International). He served as the Director of Human Resources at The Royal Dutch/Shell Group. He served as Vice President of International Human Resources at AlliedSignal Inc. He was responsible for developing and implementing AlliedSignal’s Asian and European human resources strategy and infrastructure for its Aerospace, Automotive and Engineered Materials businesses. Mr. Hofmeister joined AlliedSignal (now Honeywell International) in 1992 as Vice President of Human Resources for its Aerospace business. From 1988 to 1992, he was employed with Northern Telecom Inc., where he served as Vice President of Human Resources since 1990. He began his career in 1973 in the General Electric Lighting Business’ International Marketing and Sales Department. During his fifteen years at GE, he held a variety of marketing, manufacturing and human resource positions in five of its major businesses, including locomotives, telecommunications, factory automation and electric motors. He served at GE as General Manager of Motor Relations Operation.

He joined Shell as Director of Human Resources in 1997 and served as Country Chairman of Shell US. He has been the Chairman of Erin Energy Corporation since May 25, 2016. He has been the Chairman of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board at Sodexo, Inc. since September 2010. He serves as the Chairman of Greater Houston Partnership. Mr. Hofmeister served as the Chairman of U.S.A. Operations of Royal Dutch Shell plc since March 2005. He served as the Chairman at America Greener Technologies, Inc. from August 31, 2015 to September 2, 2015. He has been a Senior Independent Director and Independent Non-Executive Director of Hunting Plc since June 2010 and August 2009 respectively. He has been an Independent Director of Erin Energy Corporation since April 7, 2010 and Applus Services, S.A. since July 1, 2013. He has been a Member of Advisory Board of Sodexo, Inc. since March 11, 2009. He serves as a Director of Greater Houston Partnership. He has been a Director of CAMAC International Corporation since April 2010. He served as a Director of Lufkin Industries Inc. from January 4, 2010 to July 1, 2013.

He served as a Director of America Greener Technologies, Inc. from March 9, 2015 to September 2, 2015. He served as a Director of U.S.A. Operations of Royal Dutch. He serves as the Chairman of the National Urban League. He serves on the boards of the Foreign Policy Association, Strategic Partnerships, LLC and the Center for Houston’s Future. He serves as a Director of Gas Technology Institute. He serves on the boards for the American Petroleum Institute. Mr. Hofmeister is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Centre for Advanced Human Resources Studies at Cornell University.

He is a Member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources. Mr. Hofmeister holds a BA and MA degrees in Political Science from Kansas State University.
