JetBlue first quarter earnings misses estimate

JetBlue Airways Corp., said its first quarter operating revenue fell to USSD1.60 billion.

This is a slight miss for the company as the consensus analyst expectation of analysts was USD1.62 billion.

Operating revenue per available seat mile decreased 4.8 percent to 11.81 cents from a year earlier.

JetBlue Chief Executive Officer Robin Hayes said that “We took quick actions in the first quarter to address RASM trends that were below our expectations”.
