Etihad appoints Robin Kamark as new CEO of airline unit

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has announced the appointment of Robin Kamark as chief executive officer, Airline Equity Partners.

The company said Robin Kamark will replace Bruno Matheu who has held the position since May 2016 and is leaving for personal reasons, the company said in a statement.

As his primary role, Robin Kamark will be responsible for leading and developing the Group’s minority equity investment strategy, which includes stakes in airberlin, Alitalia, Jet Airways , Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Etihad Regional and Virgin Australia.

Robin Kamark was the Chief Commercial Officer of Storebrand ASA since October 15, 2012. Mr. Kamark served as Managing Director of Customer Area Norway at Storebrand ASA. Mr. Kamark serves as an Executive Officer at Storebrand Livsforsikring AS. He served as the Chief Commercial Officer at SAS AB (publ) until March 31, 2012. He has broad international experience with customer and marketing management, within both corporate and retail markets.

Within the SAS Group he has held various management positions both nationally and internationally, most as Chief Commercial Officer. He has held directorships in aviation and tourism. He has been a Director of Flytoget AS since 2016. Mr. Kamark holds BBA and MBA from Norwegian School of Management.
