Diamond Bank plc will also be delaying it’s 2016 financial report till 30th April 2017 due to some processes with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The company said: “This is to inform our esteemed shareholders and other stakeholders that Diamond Bank Plc is unable to release its 2016 audited financial statements by March 31, 2017 as required by NSE rules.
We have become aware that due to the stage of review of our accounts by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), it is unlikely that this will be concluded on time for us to comply with the NSE, and other regulatory rules guiding the release of annual audited financial statements.
We have therefore sought the approval of the NSE and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a delayed release. We are optimistic that the accounts will be made available on or before April 30, 2017.
