Abubakar Yahaya is the Head, Administration & Human Resources for Sigma Pensions Limited. He attended the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria where he had his B.Sc. Business Administration degree in 1998.
He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Cardiff University in Wales in 2001 and crowned it with a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Hull in East Yorkshire, England in 2002 with specific interest in General Management.
Abubakar Yahaya is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Chartered Institute for Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN). The debonair Kaduna-born administrator has attended several leading edge trainings on management such as Crossing Organisational Boundaries and Reinforcing Alignment, Situational Leadership, Mastering Human Resources Management, Rudiments of Human Resources Management and Industrial & Employee Relations between 2003- 2008.
Abubakar Yahaya has a major interest in human capability development in the workplace in order to enable exceptional employees reach their potential as well as improve the performance of others with the aim of driving the organisation towards its objectives and subsequent goals.
A Multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary and cross-sectoral background positioned Mr. Abubakar for a promising career that has seen him through the Nigerian Bottling Company where he worked as Assistant Recruitment Manager and Plant Human Resources Manager for a variety of locations which include the Head Office at Ebute Metta, Mushin, Ikeja, Makurdi and Kaduna.
Before joining Sigma Pensions in February 2012, Yahaya served as the pioneer Head of Human Resources & Administration for Trustfund Pensions Plc in Abuja before his similar role as Head of Human Resources & Administration for Africa Leadership Forum in Ota, Ogun state.
