Daar Communications has told its shareholders and the general public that the company’s audited accounts for the year ended 31st December, 2016 will not be filed by the due mandatory date.
In a message sent via the NSE, the company said the delay was “due to the loss of posted transactions through crash accounting software in our major operational base in the Lagos station”.
“This had compelled the company to resort to manual postings to restore the lost data. consequently, Daar Communications plc had applied to the Nigerian stock exchange (nse) for extension of time to file the 2016 audited accounts after the due date and the exchange has graciously granted Daar Communications plc one month extension to enable it complete and file the audited accounts by 30th April, 2017 accordingly”, the statement said
