Distribution and Warehousing Network Limited, DAWN said has announced the appointment of Akhter Moosa as an independent
non-executive director of the Board.
According to the statement, Akhter Moosa will also act as the chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee with immediate effect.
Akhter Moosa completed his BComm at the University of Durban, Westville and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978. He has extensive experience at board level and is currently a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors.
He acts as advisor to the Audit Committee of SANRAL Limited, is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Competition Tribunal and was recently appointed as a Non–Executive Board member of SAA.
