Janus Capital cuts its stake in Atlas Mara

Janus Capital Management LLC has decreased its stake in Atlas Mara Limited, the sub-Saharan focused financial services group.

A disclosure released by Atlas Mara shows that Janus Capital Management LLC sold from its 5,632,710 units of shares in the company to 2,632,710 units of shares.

The company disclosed that the transaction was carried out on the 16th of March, 2017.

As it stands, Janus Capital Management only has 3.40% voting rights in Atlas Mara as a result of the transaction.

Janus Capital Management LLC is a privately owned investment manager. The firm primarily provides its services to individuals. It also caters to high net worth individuals, investment companies, pooled investment vehicles, pension and profit sharing plans, charitable organizations, corporations and other businesses, state and municipal government entities, investment advisers, and insurance companies.

The firm manages separate client focused equity and fixed income portfolios. It also manages equity, fixed income, and balanced mutual funds for its clients. The firm invests in equity and fixed income markets across the globe. It also invests in alternative investment markets.

Atlas Mara is banking focused financial services group with major interest in sub-Saharan banks. The company owns over 36% in Union Bank of Nigeria.
