Samuel Ngumeni, Chief Operating Officer, Woolworths Ltd

Mr. Samuel Ngumeni, also known as Sam, MBA, BCom has been the Chief Operating Officer at Woolworths Holdings Limited since March 2012 and its Executive Director since February 12, 2014.

Mr. Ngumeni served as Head of Financial Services at Woolworths Holdings Ltd. Mr. Ngumeni serves as Chief Executive Officer at Woolworths Financial Services (Pty) Ltd. He started his career as a Trainee at Caltex in 1991 and worked in the direct mail industry for a short while thereafter.

He served as a Director at PBT Group Limited (alternatively PBT Group (SA) (Pty) Limited) since 2004. He spent the last 15 years in different roles in the retail credit industry. He holds B Comm, MBA and Senior Executive Program at London Business School.
