Dr. Marion Helmes joined the Board of British American Tobacco p.l.c. as a Non-Executive Director on 1 August 2016. She is a member of the Audit and Nominations Committees.
A German national, Marion has spent her working life managing businesses across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Her extensive career includes Chief Financial Officer positions at Celesio, Q-Cells and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Technology.
Marion holds non-executive director roles on the boards of NXP, ProSiebenSat.1 Media and Bilfinger, and also sits on the audit committees of these companies.
Welcoming her to the Board, Chairman Richard Burrows said: “Marion’s financial expertise combined with the experience she can bring from other audit committees will further strengthen our company and our Board.”
