Will N500,000 boost for Tornadoes be enough to upset Rangers?

Players of Niger Tornadoes have been promised a sum of 500,000 if they defeat last season winners Rangers international in their week five Nigerian Professional League encounter in Enugu.

Chairman of the club, Adamu Aliyu, challenged the player to go all out if they must pocket the promised sum.

Niger Tornadoes had an impressive outing in their midweek game against Wikki Tourist which they won 2-0, while Rangers held Akwa United to a goalless draw away in Uyo.

The Flying Antelopes will look to impress their fans again at the Cathedral remembering how they were beaten at home by visiting Abia warriors on match day one before heading for a 1-1 draw in Lafia and then a 1-0 win against El-kanemi warriors.

This will be the third home game for out of five games and a victory will be much fancies for the home side.

Tornadoes on the other hand might be dreaming of any upset by their away run so far has been poor having lost two out of two but with an eye on the largess, perhaps they can make it happen.

It could be recalled that Hon Adamu had earlier challenged the team to beat Wikki Tourist for N200, 000, and when they did he redeemed the sum while promising another. While addressing the players, Hon Aliyu noted that boosting the morale of the players was something that must be done in order to get best out of them, adding that player’s welfare remains paramount.

The match comes up at the Cathedral this weekend, after 90 minutes, we will find out.
