Kenyan international Michael Olunga has newly promoted Chinese Super League side Guizhou Zhicheng after an impressive debut season at Swedish top division side Swedish side IF Djurgarden.

It was reported that Olunga had attracted interest from Russian giants CSKA Moscow but it appeared that the Chinese club brought more money to the table.

The player’s agent Patrick Dark has also reasserted that in deed the player will be the most expensively sold from Sweden if he leaves Djurgardens, Super sport reports.

“I cannot confirm anything except that if Olunga is sold, it will be the most expensive deal from a Stockholm club ever.”

The striker had a loan stint with Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Gor Mahia before joining Swedish side in 2016 on a four-year deal where he finished the season with 12 goals.

Michael Olunga joins the likes of John Obi Mikel and other African exploits plying their trades in the Chinese league which is gradually becoming the cynosure of all eyes in respect to huge transfer moves.
