Dokpesi’s Daar Communications sank into NGN1.5 billion debt

Despite the fact that Daar Communications PLC is releasing its result late than necessary, the company has just disclosed that it made a total loss of NGN1,5 billion for the year 2015.

This means that Daar Communications has seen a year on year growth of its debt 1,316%. In 2014, the company reported a net loss of NGN105 million.

The company said its gross revenue grew by 2% to NGN7,0 billion compared NGN6,9 billion revenue recorded in the year 2014.

The result showed that the company’s financial status has deteriorated as it made a loss before tax of NGN1,0 billion compared to profit before tax of NGN428 million in the previous year.

DAAR Communications Plc was established by High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi who holds a Doctorate Degree in Marine Transport Engineering from the University of Gdansk, Sopot in Poland. For his exemplary, patriotic and selfless service to the country and humanity in general, he was honoured with the National Honours of the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in February 14, 2008.
