The Board of Directors of UBA Plc said it is scheduled to meet in Lagos by 10:00am on Friday, 27 January, 2017 to consider the Accounts and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December, 2016 and proposals for final dividends.
UBA said in an email statement that “Accordingly, in compliance with the NSE Rule Book and the Amendments to the Listing Rules, UBA Plc hereby declare the commencement of the closed period for trading in the bank’s shares on 11 January, 2017 in respect of the Accounts and Financial Statements for the period ended 31 December, 2016”.
“Hence, no Director, person discharging managerial responsibility, employees with sensitive information, Advisers and consultants of the Bank and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the securities (Shares and Bonds) of the Bank until the 24 hours after the release of the Audited Accounts and Financial Statements of the Group for the period ended 31 December, 2016 to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and by extension, the general public”.
As stated in the statement, trading in the share of UBA PLC has been suspended until 24 hours after the audited report.
