Ann Obeng-Ababio, Head of HR, Access Bank Ghana

Ann Obeng-Ababio started her HR career with the National Health Service in the UK from 1996 where she worked as an HR Advisor.

She was recruited to KPMG Ghana in 2000 where she worked as a Lead HR Consultant with a number of multinationals and her client portfolio included; Standard Chartered Bank, Nestle Ghana, Heinz International, World Bank and DFID among others.

Ann was headhunted to the UNDP in 2004 and appointed as an HR Specialist for two (2) years after which she left to work as a freelance Consultant.

During this period, she provided HR solutions for Nestle Central & West Africa, UNDP, KPMG, Cadbury Ghana Limited, Aqua Vitens Rand, CIS Ghana, Procedit Bank, SNV Ghana and FIDA among others. In 2009, Ann joined Access Bank Ghana as Head of Human Resources after working with the African Development Bank in Tunisia as an HR Consultant.

Ann Obeng-Ababio holds a Bsc.Hons. in Media and Communication/New Technology from the University of East London, UK and a Postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from Middlesex University, Business School, UK. She is also an alumni of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania on leadership, people’s management and operational efficiency.
