Bamidele Adelaja is a Management Accounting expert, with experience spanning about 25 years. Having started with KPMG Audit Lagos (Now Akintola Williams Delloitte & Co) in 1991, he was seconded to KPMG Audit in Paris, France, for a three months training/staff exchange program in 1995.
He was appointed the Training Manager in KPMG Audit Lagos Training School after his return from KPMG Audit in Paris, France. He held this position till 1997.
He moved on to become Head, Finance & Admin of Premium Securities Ltd (Now under FBN Capital Ltd.) in 1997. Then, Senior Manager, Operations, Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc (Now merged with UBA Plc) between 1999 and 2005. During this period, he was involved in periodic training of the Bank’s heads of operations.
Adelaja left banking in 2005 to set up his private accounting and consultancy practice. He travelled, in 2007, to Canada where he worked with the firm of Ensminger Beck & Thompson (Chartered Accountants) in Alberta, Canada, thereby furthering his exposure to international practice in accounting and management.
A graduate of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and an alumni of The Senior Management Programme of Pan African University (formerly Lagos Business School), the new Acting CFO is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
