Mr.Bekuochi Nwawudu has over 19 years’ experience in investment banking, proprietary trading, and principal investing with a focus on Mezzanine products.
Starting in 1994 in London at ING Barings as a Convertible Debt Analyst, he was promoted quickly to understudy on the US$200m proprietary trading book.
In 1998 he moved to Daiwa Europe SFU as a Senior Manager, there a three man team ran a US$600m convertible book that included asset swaps, and derivatives.
After a spell at BGC Partners and desirous of a return to Nigeria, he joined First City Monument Bank as SVP, Head of Fixed Income in 2006. There he developed the bank’s Bond trading business and debt capital markets team within the award winning Capital Markets business.
Mr Bekuochi Nwawudu has a degree in Economics from St John’s College, Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School. He is a Founder and Director of CBO Capital Partners. In the last five (5) years has been jointly responsible for servicing over 100 mandates, investing USD50.1million, developing the firm’s current transaction pipeline, and institutionalising world class investment / management processes
