First Generation of TECNO WinPad – What Should We Expect In the Future?

Having enjoyed so much success over the years, TECNO ventured further into the African tech space by producing high quality computing systems such as the WinPad with the most cost effective prices and productivity.

Over the years, TECNO has shown dynamics in releasing different range of devices which has been widely accepted by consumers. In 2013, sensing another opportunity to bring something unique and productive to the people, TECNO launched its first tablet device into the Nigerian market running on the Android operating system. At this time, it was widely accepted in the Nigerian and Kenyan market for its comfortability, availability, durability and uniqueness.

Few years later, the Tablet Business Unit of the company released its first 10 inches screen 2-in-1 tablet device which ran on the Windows OS in partnership with IT giant Intel. This also got people going in and out of the phone& PC stores to secure a purchase.

Evolution of TECNO WinPad

Last year June, the TECNO WinPad 10 was launched in Nigeria and Kenya with the aim of allowing users easy transition from business to lifestyle, and increasing their productivity by giving them the power of a laptop and the freedom of a tablet.

With a 32GB ROM which is expandable via the micro SD slot and 2GB RAM which is backed up with a massive 7000mAh battery, users of the WinPad 10 enjoyed maximum productivity whilst still having enough juice for long-lasting periods with their devices.

From June, 2015 till date, WinPad 10 has proven to be the best and most dominant 2in1 PC models in the whole of south Sahara market according to the GKF Report. All of these have contributed to the massive success the TECNO WinPad has recorded.


With the WinPad 10 currently being phased out, be sure to expect a more developed and breathtaking upgrade from TECNO. On its release, the Nigerian market will definitely be in awe as to the success this project plans to record.
