Mr. Syed Saiful Islam has served as Finance & Control Director, Executive Director of Nestle Nigeria Plc since October 1, 2014. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India.
He further obtained a Masters degree in Finance from the Dhaka University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He trained as a chartered accountant at KPMG Rahman Huq from 1994 to 1997 and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh in 1998.
He is a member, of the Taxation Sub-Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Trade, Tariff, Taxation and Company Affairs Sub-Committee of the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has served as Vice President – Finance & Control of Nestle Lanka Plc since April 2010.
He served as Financial & Control Director of Nestle Bangladesh Limited between August 2006 and March 2010; Corporate Controller of Nestle Bangladesh Limited between December 2005 and July 2006; Manager – Financial Planning, Corporate Office of Nestle India Limited, Controller, Northern India Region, Delhi between May 2000 and December 2005; Manager Financial Accounting of Nestle Bangladesh Limited between November 1999 and April 2000; Assistant Manager, Internal Control of Citibank N. A. Dhaka between September 1999 and October 1999; and Company Accountant of Ericsson, Bangladesh Branch, Dhaka between April 1998 and September 1999.
