Managing Director/CEO Peter Ndegwa holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Nairobi. He is a qualified accountant and alumnus of the London Business School, University of IESE and Strathmore University, respectively.
Peter has over 10 years working experience in East Africa and the United Kingdom with the global accountancy and consulting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers. He joined East African Breweries Limited, an integral part of Diageo Plc in 2004 as Strategy Director.
He was then appointed Sales Director in 2006 and Group Finance Director in 2008. Peter was appointed Managing Director of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited in 2011.
As Managing Director, he achieved a complete reframe of the business despite very tough external operating conditions – substantial currency devaluation, slowing GDP growth and high cost of doing business.
He was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria in July 2015.
