Mrs. Isioma Omoshie-Okokuku was on March, 23, 2016 appointed Ag. Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Guinea Insurance Plc and elevated to the coveted position of an Executive Director on June 1, 2016.
With about 27 years of professional experience in public and private legal practices, she is widely recognised for: diligence, high probity, amiable strength of character and her leadership role in shaping the Legal and Compliance units of the company.
Currently, she is also the Chief Compliance Officer cum Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Guinea Insurance Plc; a company that is today celebrated as the premium brand in the insurance space and an emerging leader in the provision of first-rate risk management solutions in Nigeria.
As an embodiment of broad-mindedness and avid mental perception, Mrs. Omoshie-Okokuku began her career as a legal practitioner in 1989 with keen interest in: Contract Negotiations, Sponsorship/Endorsements, Financial and Legal advice etc. In 1997, she moved to the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc.
In 2002, she again ventured into private legal practice for about 5 years and thereafter, joined our esteemed organisation in 2009 as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser whence, in 2016 she was elevated as Executive Director and also appointed Ag. Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; consequently, she is saddled with the overriding responsibility of charting the course of the company’s fortunes on the path of monumental growth during a period of heightened turbulence in the economic state of the nation and insurance industry in particular.
She studied law in the University of Benin (UNIBEN) where she received her first professional degree in Law – LLB in 1988 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989.
