Adekunle Sonola joined Union Bank in 2015 as an Executive Director in charge of the bank’s Commercial Banking business.
Prior to joining the Union Bank, he worked at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc where rose from member of the Corporate Finance Group to Divisional Head, Corporate Banking.
He left Guaranty Trust Bank Plc as pioneer Managing Director, East Africa, where he successfully rolled out the franchise in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. He was prior to that Director, Investment Banking Africa, Standard Bank of South Africa.
Adekunle has more than 24 years of banking experience and holds several degrees. He is an Alumnus of the Durham University Business School, United Kingdom.
