Mr. Alli is a seasoned financial professional and a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Mr. Alli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (B. Eng) from Kings College, University of London, United Kingdom (1988) and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (with distinction) from INSEAD, France (1995) where he won the Ford prize for best academic performance in class.
As the winner of the Siemens prize and Institute of Electrical Engineering prize for best Academic performance in 1988, he graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (B.Eng) from Kings College, University of London.
Mr. Alli has over 18 years experience spanning various international organizations including the International Finance Corporation (the Private Sector Financing Arm of the World Bank), Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and the investment bank, S.G Warburg & Co., now part of UBS.
Mr. Alli is a member of the IFC Corporate restructuring taskforce, IFC CEO’s Internal Advisory Group, IFC Equity Investment Best Practice Group, IFC Corporate Software Procurement team and IFC Committee on Staff Diversity, Performance Awards and Increase Efficiency. He is currently the President/Chief Executive Officer of African Finance Corporation (“AFC”).
He joined the Board in June 2008.
