Mr. Akindele Akintoye holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1978. He also qualified as a Solicitor of the Law Society of England and Wales in 1996.
Mr. Akintoye is an experienced legal practitioner who practices in the areas of commercial, corporate, land and securities law. He also rose through the ranks and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom in 2009.
In the area of commerce Mr. Akintoye attended the Lagos Business School, Pan African University where he undertook the Advanced Management Programme in 1995.
He has also attended management training courses in Harvard Business School, London Business School, Kellogg’s School of Management of the Northwestern University and the International Institute for Management Development, (IMD), Switzerland.
Mr. Akintoye is a Notary Public of Nigeria and a Licensed Capital Market Solicitor.
He joined the Board of the Bank in June 2008.
