Cathy Echeozo, Deputy Managing Director, GTBank

Mrs. Cathy Echeozo joined the Bank in 1993. She has worked in various units in the Bank such as treasury management, credit management, systems & control and institutional banking group.

She was chairperson emerging issues sub-committee, on the committee of chief inspectors of all banks in Nigeria (1999-2000) and pioneered the bank’s entry into personal banking.

Cathy holds a first degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria (1984) and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College, USA.

She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Certified Information Systems Auditor, being a member of the international body: Information Systems Audit and Control Association, USA. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked for Continental Merchant Bank and EcoBank Nigeria Plc.

She was appointed an Executive Director in March, 2005, and Deputy Managing Director of the Bank in October, 2011.
