Joseph Babatunde Oke Quits A.G. Leventis

The management of A.G. Leventis has announced that its Non-Executive Chairman, Chief Joseph Babatunde Oke, has resigned from the board of the company

In a statement signed by Titi Alabi, the company said:

This is to inform the general public of the recent changes to the Board of Directors of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) PLC. The Board of Directors of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc, hereby announce the retirement of its Non-Executive Chairman, Chief Joseph Babatunde Oke, OON with effect from September 8, 2016 after fifty years of service in various capacities within the Leventis Group.

The Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Ahmed Mantey as the new Non-Executive Chairman of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc with effect from September 8, 2016. Mr. Mantey also serves as a Director in the Nigerian Bottling Company Limited.

On his Bloomberg profile, Chief Joseph Babatunde Oke, O.O.N. serves as the Chairman of Hartford Steel Technologies. Chief Oke has been the Chairman of Beta Glass Co. Plc since September 28, 2010. Chief Oke has been Non-Executive Chairman of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) Plc since 2013 and served as its Executive Chairman since June 18, 2009 and served as its Executive Vice Chairman.

Mr. Ahmed Kazalma Mantey serves as an Executive Director of Nigerian Bottling Company Plc. Mr. Mantey serves as Executive Director of A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) PLC and served as its Non Executive Director since December 4, 2014. He is a graduate in Accountancy from Ahmadu Bello University.

A.G. leventis has not released its Q3 results for 2016. It has not made any statement on when it will be releasing the result.
