Oluyemi Patrick Olatunji Is The New CEO At UnityKapital Assurance

About a month after the ‘mysterious’ exit of its CEO and CFO, UnityKapital Assurance Plc has announced the appointment of Oluyemi Patrick Olatunji as its substantive CEO.

In a statement released by the company, “The Managing Director/CEO of UnityKapital Assurance Plc, Mr. Michael D. Dogo, resigned his appointment as a Director and Managing Director of the Company with effect from 20th July, 2016.
Following the approval from National Insurance Commission, the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Oluyemi Patrick Olatunji as the new Managing Director/CEO of the Company”.

Vouching for him, the company said “Oluyemi Patrick Olatunji has developed commendable experience in the insurance industry. He has held various high level positions in the insurance industry in the course of his career and was a former Managing Director of Royal Exchange Assurance of Nigeria”.

“The Board of directors and Management are pleased to have him on Board and look forward to his input and contribution to the growth of UnityKapital Assurance Plc”, the statement added.

Michael Dogo and the CFO left the company in an unexplained situation. The situation is more confusing as the company did appointmented Babatunde Oshadiya as the acting CEO after the departure of Michael Dogo. The company did not state what becomes his fate.
