To make good its promise, the Lagos state government has started construction on the proposed Agege Pen Cinema mega flyover.
As at 9am Nigerian time, construction workers and heavy earth moving equipment have been moved on site.
Agege Pen cinema is a major melting point of traffic and pedestrian movement across various suburbs of the state and other nearby border towns of the city with Lagos.
However, the construction of the flyover will further disrupt an already hectic traffic situation in the area. The government had announced in August that the project ‘would be completed within 18 to 24 months’
