
Ms. Joy Ogaji has been appointed as the first executive secretary of the Association of Power Generation Companies, APGC. She will be instrumental in pushing the course of the association.
APGC is a non-political and non-profit trade association representing the interests of all power generating companies including thermal stations, gas and hydro-power and renewable energy generating companies in Nigeria.
She is a legal practitioner with over 15 years of progressive managerial experience in various aspects of commercial/corporate law such as Power/Energy, Oil and Gas, Property and Regulatory matters. She practised commercial and corporate law both in Nigeria and in England and Wales.
Prior to her appointment she was the Head of the Regulatory and Transaction Monitoring Unit of the Presidential Taskforce on Power as well as the legal adviser. She has relevant power sector experience having worked with the various agencies through the pre and post privatisation period of the power sector reform.
Ms. Joy Ogaji had a first degree in law (LLB) from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt; a Bachelor’s degree in Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School; a Master degree in Environmental law (LLM) from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK.
