Meet Lesile Oghomienor, Sport Director FCBEscola

In the next one year, the name Lesile Oghomienor will be making news around Nigeria’s sports and entertainment circles. He is the Country Manager of FCBEscola, a Barcleona FC-inspired football academy.

Lesile Oghomienor will be saddled with the responsibilities of running this coveted academy in Nigeria.

At the public presentation of FCBEscola to the Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, he said “We are planning to have a 7,000 capacity academy stadium with all the sports facilities such as gyms offices and training pitches. The academy will also admit children from ages six to 18 that are good for grassroots development. We hope to do that within the next two years. We hope that in the next few years, products of our academy will win the U-17 World Cup for Nigeria.”

FCBEscola has started a media campaign to recruit entrants into its football academy that will be based at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Expatiating on the academy, The Project Manager for FCBESCOLA international, Europe and Africa , Inaki Gonzallo, said “We have produced many world class footballers from our academy and we will use the same curriculum in the Nigerian academy. The academy has been successful in bringing up great footballers around the globe playing for big clubs, I hope Nigeria’s case is not far from that,’

Lesile Oghomienor will also be expected to bring his business prowess into the management of the academy. He is the CEO of RusselSmith Group an Asset Integrity management company with expertise in Aerial Inspection Services, Topside Asset Integrity Management Services and Subsea Asset Integrity Management Services.
