RNDA Names Former President Jonathan And Others As Sponsors Of Terrorists

The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers has named former President, Goodluck Jonathan and a host of other key politicians in the Niger Delta as sponsors of the Niger Delta Avengers.

RNDA is a splinter group of the Niger Delta Avengers. The group broke away from the NDA in an alleged ideological clash its supposed acceptance of the Olive Branch extended by the federal government.

In a statement released by RNDA spokesperson, Cynthia Whyte, other politicians named as sponsors of the NDA includes the immediate serving Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Seriaki Dickson of Bayelsa.

The former Governor of Akwa Ibom now a Senator, Godswill Akpabio, ex-militant turned contractor, Government Ekpemupolo popularly called Tompolo, Raymond Dokpesi, the founder of African Independent Television (AIT), the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Kingsley Kuku, Kimi Angozi, and Patrick Akpobolokemi.

Whyte also alleged that there other parties whom he referred to as ‘sympathisers’. A foremost elder statesman, Chief Edwin K. Clark, Tony Uranta, Daniel Alabrah, Ms. Annkio Briggs, and Olisa Metuh, a former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The RNDA also named the alleged persons running the NDA terror group as- Oyege Nimi Brown, VIP Timothy, Joshua Macaiver, Paul Bebenimibo and others as the main operatives of the NDA, adding that Udengs Eradiri, the president of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), also known as Brigadier General Murdoch Agbinibo, serve as the NDA’s chief spokesman.

The NDA had perpetrated various acts of terrorism across the Southern part of Nigeria, including Lagos, where it has killed, abducted and destroy property. In the Niger delta, the NDA had destroyed major oil installations including the Forcados lines plummeting Nigeria’s oil production to the lowest.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, another militant group had reached an agreement with President Buhari in a peace deal that comes with various conditions. The schism in the NDA might further reduce the power of the terror group who had vowed not to negotiate with the government.
