Valencia FC And Nigeria League All Stars To Play For Charity

Valencia Football Club of Spain has confirmed that the proceeds from the match against Nigeria League All Stars will be used as aid to the Valencian municipalities affected by the fires last month of June.

Both sides are scheduled for a friendly match in Alzira on August 10 before the NPFL All-Stars square up against Malaga CF in one of the semi-finals of the Ramon de Carranza Trophy which will also feature last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists, Atletico Madrid and Cadiz CF.

In a statement released by the Spanish club, The proceeds of this sixth preparation match of the season, organized under Laliga World, is intended to help alleviate the damage caused by severe forest fires last June in the region of La Ribera, La Canal Navarrés and Vall d ‘Albaida, especially in the municipality of Carcaixent, and calcined nearly 3,000 hectares of forest. The aid will be channeled to the councils of the municipalities affected by the Provincial Council of Valencia.

President of Valencia CF, Layhoon Chan said the club is ” We are saddened by what happened in June, because the fires are never something nice to have”.

”It is a small way of giving back to the area of La Ribera and surrounding, support demonstrating every day for the colors of Valencia CF” he added.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria All Stars will depart Nigeria for Spain 8th August, 2016 as revealed by the League Management Company.
