After the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron, Theresa May might be confirmed as the news leader of the British Conservative Party and the substantive prime minister of the United Kingdom.

Theresa May is the only remaining senior party leader and according to Graham Brady, the chairman of a party committee, she is to be confirmed later today.

According to the norm, she will become the next prime minister as soon as she is confirmed as the new party leader.
