The sensational on air personality, Dan Foster has now pitched his tent with Classic FM.
Dan Foster was introduced on Monday morning during Classic FM Frontpage news, a flagship newspaper review programme co-hosted by Jimi Disu.
For many years, Dan Foster was the lead presenter at Cool FM, a member station of the AIM Group. He later moved to Inspiration FM and other stations.
On his Wikipedia page, has Dan worked with numerous radio stations including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 both in America, and Virgin Island-based WTBN before moving to Nigeria in 2000 where he joined Cool FM, quickly becoming popular with Nigerian listeners, although he was constantly criticised for his constant use of the word “Ikebe” (Nigerian pidgin for derriere). A year later, he received an award for Best Radio Presenter of the year. He also won the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Nigeria Media Merit Awards for ‘Best Radio Personality’.
It is still not clear which part of Classic FM’s bulletin, Dan will be holding. The station prides itself as the ‘station that plays every song you know’. Classic FM’s programmes schedule is a mixture of 60% classic songs and music related programmes and 40% news, sports and general interest programmes.
