PageOne Markets Update: NSE All Share Index Drops By 2.75% For The Second Day Running

Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) was bearish again for the second day running.

Reports shows  that the market capitalisation continue to drop as it closed for the day at N9.250trillion declined  by N258.59 billion or 2.72 per cent  compare to N9.509 trillion on Tuesday.

Also, the All-Share Index declined  by 760.85 points or 2.72 per cent to close at 26,910.23 points, against 27,671.08 on Tuesday.

Top gainer

Gainers for equities  was led by Etranzact it took turn to led the gainers’ table with a gain of 52 to close at N5.88 per share. Cadbury also gained 1.52 to close at  N18.37, UAC property  increased by 20k to close at N4.22 per share. Union Dicon  gained 59k to close at N12.46 and Trans express   grew by 8k to close at 1.74 per share.

Top Losers

Losers for equities  as could not be  retain since the week started, as reports shows that Stanbic  led the Losers  table with a loss of N1.63 to close at N15.18 per share. Guaranty also may a loss of N1.88 to close at N17.65, Oando  decline by 68k to close at N6.45per share  UBA also made a loss 45k to close at N4.75 while FCMB made a lose of 16k to close at N1.55  per share.

Most active

The Most active sector table  today  was led Zenith bank  in term  volume of shares trade, accounting for 56.72m share value at N 770.38, Guaranty trailed with an exchange of 39.46m valued at N696.59m.

Most Traded

Zenith bank  lead the most traded chart  in term of value trade, accounting for 56.72m share value at N770.38m but declined  by 1.38% to close at N13.6 Sterling Bank   trailed with an exchange of 7.58m valued at N12.38m and also declined by 0.11% in price to close at N1.59.

Top turnover

Zenith bank has the highest turnover of valued at N 770.38 but declined by  by 1.38%  to close at N13.6 also was Nigeria breweries  with N728.84m with a 6.70% drop to close at N128.3, Guaranty   also made a turnover of valued N696.59.03m but  still dropped by  1.88%  to close at N17.65 while Seplat  closed with N481.35m but remain steady in price to close at N360.

 

In all, a total of 352million shares worth N3.846 billion were traded by investors in 5,024 deals, in compared with 335 million shares valued at N billion which exchanged hands in 4,301 deals on Tuesday.
